Part A: Map of Paterson (1908)

  1. What do you notice about the map of Paterson that might explain why it was a center of industry in New Jersey during the 19th and early 20th centuries?
  2. Choose three (3) other unique characteristics from the 1908 map of Paterson and explain why you chose each characteristic.

Part B: New Jersey Road Map (1903)

  1. Describe Paterson's location in New Jersey relative to five (5) other geographic landmarks or major cities. Please use approximate mileage (based on the map scale) and give distances. (Example: Paterson is 5 miles south of Wyckoff, NJ)
