| Get Involved with NJDH! |
NJDH is a collaboration between the cultural information community and New Jersey educators and their students to develop
educational resources that utilize primary source materials from the collections in the New Jersey Digital Highway.
An educational advisory group was appointed, consisting of New Jersey history and social studies teachers who are
experienced with web-based lesson plan design. During the summer of 2004, they worked with educational technology
specialists at Rutgers University Libraries to develop lesson plan templates and specify the requirements for the
Educators' Module Maker (EMM). The EMM will provide simple interfaces for designing simple and structured lesson plans
and for importing digital objects from the New Jersey Digital Highway collection into those lesson plans.
As a New Jersey educator, your expertise and active participation in NJDH are very important. You can become involved by:
- Using the lesson plans and resources featured on the NJDH and giving us feedback, including telling us what other resources you would like to see.
- Creating lesson plans and activities using the EMM and other tools, as they become available.
- Participating in the evaluation of lesson plans and educational modules created at the Summer Educators' Seminar Program. More information will be provided in the fall.
