Abstract: This document attests that Benjamin Killhoffer, a protestant born in Sweden, provided proof that he had resided in the colony of New Jersey over seven years, that he was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Burlington, and that he had taken the oaths as prescribed by law. The certificate was signed by Chief Justice Frederick Smyth of the New Jersey Supreme Court in May 1765.
